Biography: Bébé Lala is the drag persona of Jordyn Angeconeb, a 31-year-old Anishinaabe artist, educator, and advocate from Lac Seul First Nation. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and having lived in Sioux Lookout, Wawa, Toronto, Ottawa, London (Ontario), and Saskatchewan, Bébé Lala brings a unique blend of Indigenous storytelling, humor, and sharp theatricality to drag performances across Canada, from urban stages to First Nations communities in the Prairies and Northern Ontario.

As a Two-Spirit performer, Bébé Lala has headlined and MC’d events like the OUTLOUD Festival (2022, North Bay), Edmonton Dragfest (2023), Pride Toronto’s Catalyst Stage (2024), and the Royal Ontario Museum’s Indigenous People’s Day (2024). She’s organized and starred in shows such as Ever Sick! Drag on the Rez (2022, Garden River and Batchewana First Nations), Hit Me Bébé One More Time (2024, Medicine Hat), and Slay in May 2SLGBTQQIA+ Youth Gathering (2024, Couchiching First Nation), while also hosting drag bingos, pride socials, and virtual performances since 2019.

Through her work with Ever Sick! Consulting, Bébé Lala facilitates drag creation workshops emphasizing identity, inclusion, and creative expression, fostering safer spaces for Indigenous queer and trans youth. Her advocacy includes roles as Pride Toronto Two-Spirit Ambassador (2024), speaker at Transgender Day of Remembrance (2025), and keynote at ONECA Education Conference (2024), celebrating Two-Spirit brilliance and empowering marginalized voices across Turtle Island.
